This place has back to back sites; two rigs back up to each other to share the utilities. One rig has to have 30-50 feet of sewer hose to reach. Even though the park was only half full they would not let us move to a site where we could reach the sewer outlet. For the $$ you can go into town and stay at one of the other RV parks and get a site with utilities or just go into town and the Walmart will sell you another sewer hose to hook up with. For basically a spot to spend the night it was not much above staying in the Walmart parking lot.

We spent 4 nights here and the park has been cleaned considerably. There is still hurricane debris in pockets all through Galveston. Some is left over from the current rebuilding of the area but it being cleared as expeditiously as possible. Water and electricity were good here and the management was accommodating. The view of the water was great and weather made for a nice trip despite 4 inches of rain the day we arrived. The campground is no resort but it is close to everything in Galveston and and a quiet oasis in the middle of town. It is a good place to use for touring Galveston.

One of the five best state parks in Texas. No sewer outlet but there is a dump station. Quiet, beautiful and serene. Hiking through the maples is great as they are turning early in 2009. Friendly park rangers who watch over you and are ready to assist in any way. We just wish it were closer to Houston. The sites can accommodate bigger rigs with ease. The state web site does not tell you that.

The manager was friendly and very helpful. This campground was nice and the facilities were clean and cared for. We were here for a rally and things could not have been better. The rain made things a little muddy but that was not the fault of the campground. We would return if this way again.

My wife's favorite campground! Enjoy a swing at each site. Sites were level, plus the water and electricity were good. Passport America rates honored. We will definitely stay here again if ever back in Russell, Kansas.

Definitely a no-frills campground. However our sites were level and the water and electricity were good. Passport America rates honored.

A free pass to the Pioneer Museum comes with your site, for a savings of $10. The sites were large with a table provided. The dump station was convenient and the water and electricity were good. The fireflies were an added bonus! Quite and cool after a long day. We enjoyed this park. Only the trains across the street keep it from a higher rating.

We stayed here four nights and the park was quite with good water and electricity. A resort it is not but the sites were fairly level and we were mostly interested in a place to spend the night after a day of sightseeing. They accept PPA and we would stay here again.

Apparently this campground is closed. We called for a reservation but the connection was bad. Thirty minutes later there was no answer. At 8:00 p.m. when we arrived at the gate it was locked and no one could be found anywhere.

This is a former KOA that is clean and well maintained and a lot more reasonably priced now that it is not a KOA. The bathrooms were spotless and the lady at the check in must have been a reincarnation of Abraham Lincoln. She accidentally overcharged me a nickle and made a special trip to refund same to us. The only down side is the trains across the street that come through Scotts Bluff. The engineers love to hit those horns. We were so tired that we did not notice. The campground is just west of downtown Scotts Bluff on US-26.

This review is for the Glacier Basin Campground. The National Park Service has allowed the pine bark beetle to destroy most of the forest in Rocky Mountain National Park. I mean MOST. Glacier Basin has been cut to remove dead trees and slash was left everywhere. There is no gathering of firewood and so the debris makes a horrible mess. The drive up the RMNP will look like Yellowstone did in the mid 80's very soon. This disaster has nothing to do with diseased or stressed trees. This is a beetle that attacks and destroys healthy trees. Do not be mislead by the pseudo experts. The scenery past the dying forest is still spectacular. We camped here for three days and anyone wanting to see the beauty of RMNP had better get there within the next two years.

Great sites right on the river. This was a quiet and restful campground. The sites were large and the facilities were clean. Staff was pleasant, and they accept several discounts including Passport America. The only thing that keeps this from being a ten was the cottonwood that was in full spray when we were there. This is definitely a keeper park.

This was a very nice place to spend the night. The nearby trains did not disturb the peace. Hosts were super. We would stay here again.

This was a nice place to spend the night. Quite with good water and electricity. Sites were a little close together, however each had a picnic table. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

This park was undergoing repairs on the bath rooms and the showers. Still it was a welcome oasis after a day traveling. Water pressure and electricity were good. The park is directly across the street from the 'Oregon Trail Ruts' historic site and only a mile from Register Cliff. The city golf course is adjacent and the green fees were reasonable.

This is as close to nature as you can get in an rv. Scenery is fantastic and the peace and quite beyond compare. We camped here for four days and could have stayed forever (except in the winter). Like all N.P. campgrounds there are no hookups but a dump station is right at the entrance. If showers were available this would be a 10+. Best campground in Glacier which is the best N.P. in the country

Bare bones park but one that offers a safe place to spend the night and full hookups. Owner was very pleasant and there is a repair shop right next door.

A nice setting with great facilities for club rallies. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is very quiet for being so close to I-35. Sites have a covered picnic table which is a big plus. The only negative was the dog poo which the previous occupants left on site.

We were in Louisville scouting out areas for a national convention coming next year. DO NOT even consider this park. Sites are the worst I have ever encountered. Way too small and dirty. Ours was left filthy by the previous occupants and it was not recent trash. We would not stay here again.

This is a great place to stay while touring San Antonio. It is right on the bus line and you can't beat the staff. We arrived late and they escorted us to our site and said just check in the next day. We came to see San Antonio and not an RV Park so this was a great place with good connections and quiet rest after a long day of sightseeing.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Park has ample sites for any size rig. Sites were laid out to give you space to put out slides or awning. picnic tables are at each site and the park was clean. It has a playground for children and a pool and tennis courts. It's close to Garden of the Gods but its still a lot like a hugh parking lot. It is the best of all the campgrounds in Colorado Springs,

This is a very small tightly packed RV park. If you like the sardine feeling this is the place for you. Every amenity like Wi-Fi, cable etc is extra. The staff are the only thing this park has going for it. The staff is great! You are close to Old Colorado City and downtown is just minutes away but the parking lot feeling is hard to digest.

This park had a number of eyesores and the lake next to it is so trashy and smelly that I would not set a foot in it. The water pressure is low and the park has that junkyard look to it. Staff were more than friendly and helpful but the grounds need a major overhaul.

The only thing that keeps this park from being a ten is the lack of hookups. Apparently Tyeh National Park service is on a no carbon footprint kick this year much like the crazy eco proposal of a few years back when they wanted to forbid any motorized vehicles at any national park. There is a central dump station and water is available there. Fabulous night sky and hiking trails. Be forewarned that if you take the road to Los Alamos in a motorhome or trailer you will be searched and have to open all the contents of your rig to show that you are not hiding Chinese spies. Bandelier is great and the ranger programs at evening are superb. We have camped here before and will again.

No shade and no amenities of any kind. This is basically for an overnight stay. For that it is a good place to stop. Pull thru sites and good voltage and water pressure. Friendly lady runs this campground but it is getting run down as one person can not do much in the way of maintenance.

Great location and great views. There are some attractions near by for the kids and the campground is quiet. Basically it is a huge grass field with hookups. A picnic table and propane grill is at most sites. This is a good place to spend the night after a day of rafting or sightseeing. Overpriced as most KOA's are but a helpful staff and a well equipped store with reasonable prices, help offset the site price inconvenience.

This is a great national forest campground with level concrete pads at each site. It has campfire grill and a picnic table on a paved patio at each site. Water is available at several locations. Each site is 70-80 feet from the other and masked by trees. The campground was spotless and the air was clean and fresh. Sites are nestled amidst large Ponderosa pines and Aspens. Why anyone would camp in a side by side RV park in Red River when this is available is beyond reason.

This is a city park that has electricity and water available. There are about 8 sites available parallel to the electrical and water connections. Accommodations are a bit lacking but a welcome sight after a long day. The cost can not be beat. Some of the electrical boxes have fallen victim to vandals and abuse but for $ 3.00 you can't complain. We actually camped here in July 2007 but wanted to get it on the map as we overlooked it last year. Fort Laramie is very small but super friendly and the Flag restaurant serves great food. The Fort Laramie National Historic Site is just a mile down the road.

There are some lovely sites if you are a member but mostly open field type accommodations. There are some great ponds and a nice walkway and club house but a resort destination this is not. The staff were most helpful. We would stay here again as they honor Passport America and other memberships.

Convenient to the Eisenhower museum and library. Quiet and peaceful park right in the heart of town. Staff were very friendly. Abilene does not do anything on Mondays!. The trolley does not run. Attractions are and museums (not Eisenhower) are closed. The old west town is out of business and the buildings are falling down yet Abilene still advertises it. The campground is nice and we would stay here again but not on a Sunday-Monday.

This state park is the very best. Our 2008 visit was the first winter trip we have made here and it is just as great in February as it is in the summer. Quiet and spacious and so relaxing you never want to leave. The staff are beyond praise. This park is what makes Texas!

We are late in reporting our experience at this park, but after reading the reviews felt it expedient to sign in. We stayed here the first time in July 2006. Super nice park and clean! New owners are much more tolerant of doggie do! We changed sites because of the dog crap right where we would have our awning. Noticed that it was not an isolated incident although it was not all over the park, under the previous owners you never ever had to change your shoes! If you travel with pets you should take responsibility for them. Most campers do but the few that don't ruin the camping experience for us all. I will bypass this park next year.

Only a couple of blocks from Graceland. A place to spend the night. Water and elec. were good. The noise from the Memphis airport will drive you crazy for the first two or three hours of the night. Elvis would not have stayed in Graceland if he had to listen to the roar of planes all night long.

There is absolutely nothing here. The previous review is suspect. Nothing for children to do; you are in the middle of nowhere about two miles down a farm road off a secondary highway in a county with no tourist attractions or amenities of any kind!

Complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. Free shuttle to the casino across the street. Sites were level and water and elec. were good. Everything was clean and well attended. Bathrooms sparkled the two days that we were there. Good place to spend the night after touring Vicksburg or the casinos.

Gorgeous scenery in November. The trees were red and Gold and Yellow. A very nice campground. The dump station needs a little water pressure but the sites had ample water pressure and electricity. Picnic tables, fire rings and grills set back in the trees made this a super family camping experience. The dam campground is nearby if this one is full. A great place to spend the night after touring Shiloh.

Quiet, remote country setting on aback road about 5 miles from Bellville. Sites are huge so big rigs will have no problems. Water and electricity are good. This is a working historical ranch and the owners are Texas friendly. Howard will pitch in and do everything possible to make your stay perfect. Due to increased costs of electricity the rate will be $22.00 starting December. They have facilities for rally meetings and have propane on site.

Great place to camp in a super nice State Park. Rangers were friendly and helpful and the Buffalo herd was a bonus. This is the place to go for quiet and outdoor fun. Stars can be seen for a trillion miles. You will love this place.

We were disappointed. The scenery is okay but the campground was hot and dirty. The road was pot holed in places and very narrow in places. All in all the desert is pretty but it seemed to be lacking here.

Great place to fish and to hike. Our site was left trashy by the previous occupants, but the park is a nice quiet experience and if you boat and fish, it would be a 10.

Great park with apple trees everywhere. Cleanest bathrooms on our vacation. This was a wonderful break from dust and overpriced campgrounds. The staff were extremely friendly and you get a discount for meteor crater which is way over priced for a hole in the ground.

Camp is right at the turn off to the Dinosaur Quarry national Monument. Lots of permanents working in the area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Gravel sites that were easily leveled. Short on ambiance but a safe place to spend the night after a long day when the National Monument campground is closed.

This was once a great park. Now that KOA has taken it over you notice a lot of little things that add up to a big negative. Management is definitely not as friendly as before. The whole atmosphere is different. They are out to get the most money they can with as little effort as possible. The location is still great but there are cheaper and more friendly cg's to be had.

This is the best park in Texas. Plenty of room, lots of big sky, quite and peaceful. Park Rangers are the friendliest and most helpful of any state park. We have made this a must visit park for the past twenty years and it has never disappointed us.
